The Department of Occupational Therapy provides diverse experiential curriculums that challenges students to develop professional knowledge, leadership, and ethical behaviors necessary to be purposeful and competent practitioners. For the past 4 years, the Chippy’s Handwriting Helpers community camp program has provided immersive, direct-care, clinical training to 50 OT students while providing clinical handwriting support to over 125 children from 47 area schools. These camps are cost-free for participating families, providing access to needed clinical services many families would otherwise not be able to afford. Your donation to the Department of Occupational Therapy this year will support continuation of the Chippy’s Handwriting Helpers programming and enable us to continue to provide this impactful experience for our OT students while offering cost-free clinical supports to area families.
