ImpactNC with a gift to the Coffee Lab/Enactus on the Day of Giving!

Nearly 20 years ago we started the coffee project as part of what was then called SIFE (now Enactus), a student organization focused on using entrepreneurial concepts to create positive change in the world. The project has grown tremendously leading to the opening of The Coffee Lab in 2019 and our store, "All Things Good" in the fall of 2022.

The joint work of the Coffee Lab and Enactus is guided by ethical engagement with our coffee, chocolate, and artisan partners. This model is founded on creating and developing lasting relationships and a key component to making it work is our ability to travel and meet in-person with our indigenous partners.

In addition, programming and activities through The Coffee Lab and Enactus are focused on student engaged learning. Whether researching the nutritional benefits of coffee or designing new labels for our chocolates, students get one-of-a-kind hands-on learning opportunities.

Your gift this Day of Giving will directly support student travel as part of this direct trade model and student engaged learning opportunities here on campus and in the field.

Over the years, students have often described these experience as “life changing.” Your generosity will help further our mission and allow students to: • Work alongside our partners to strategize how to overcome real-life barriers presented both abroad and here within the United States. • Do field research across disciplines • Experience first-hand the intersection of cultures, sustainability, ethics, and commerce.
