About the Department

The Department of Communication and Media Studies houses majors in Communication, Organizational Communication, Journalism and Media Studies, and Interactive Media Studies. Through the courses we teach, the internships we supervise, and department-sponsored co-curricular activities (WONC, NCClinked/The Chronicle, and Forensics), we train students to communicate effectively in relationships, groups, organizations, via media and technology, among diverse cultures, and in the public sphere.
