The Department of Communication and Media Studies houses majors in Communication, Organizational Communication, Journalism and Media Studies, and Interactive Media Studies. Through the courses we teach, the internships we supervise, and department-sponsored co-curricular activities (WONC, NCClinked/The Chronicle, and Forensics), we train students to communicate effectively in relationships, groups, organizations, via media and technology, among diverse cultures, and in the public sphere. Your gift to our department on the Day of Giving will help pay for guest speakers, class field trips, student conference travel, the work of our student honor society Lambda Pi Eta, expense associated with undergraduate research, equipment for our campus media organizations, and assorted other department initiatives.
